The DS-1, introduced in 1978 changed the way distortion sounded with its sharp attack and smooth sustain. Now the DS-1W, part of the Waza Craft series, combines the look and feel of the original with a new, all-analog circuit that gives you more options and flexibility.

The DS1W, with two modes and a discrete all-analog circuit design, expands the DS1 experience for a broader range of styles and applications. In Standard mode, you get the tight, hard-edged tone and singing sustain of the original pedal, and Custom mode takes the DS-1 sound character to a new level.

Custom mode presents a unique new distortion voice while retaining the DS-1 personality and edge. A thick, mid-focused character provides more fatness and cut to make your sound stand out, while the tone control maximizes the mode’s richness and presence.

The available volume level has been increased by 6 dB, providing a wider range of gain boost for driving amps and other distortion or overdrive pedals.
